Welcome to the Latin Dance Society, where the rhythm is hot, the moves are smooth, and everyone is welcome to join the dance floor! Whether you're a complete beginner or a seasoned dancer, our society is all about celebrating the vibrant world of Latin dance in a fun, inclusive, and supportive environment.

We focus on the energetic beats of Salsa and Bachata, but we also love to mix it up with some Reggaeton and other Latin-inspired styles. There’s something for everyone, no matter your style or experience level!

Here at the Latin Dance Society, it's not just about perfecting steps—it's about having a great time, making new friends, and feeling the joy of dancing. From exciting social events, themed parties, and casual get-togethers, to weekly classes and workshops, there's always something happening to keep you moving and grooving.

What to Expect:

  • Classes & Workshops: Learn new moves or polish the ones you already know with our talented and friendly instructors.
  • Socials & Parties: Dance, laugh, and connect with fellow members at our fun and relaxed socials, open to all skill levels.
  • Inclusive Community: Whether you're dancing solo, with a partner, or just want to hang out, everyone is welcome. It’s all about good vibes and great company!

So, put on your dancing shoes and come join the fun! Whether you're here for the beats, the friends, or just to try something new, the Latin Dance Society is your place to move, laugh, and dance the night away. Let's make some unforgettable memories together!

MEMBERSHIPS:

  • Membership is £10 for students and £20 for non-students (associate members*), which gives discounts on classes, socials and priority access to classes.
  • Non-members can attend our classes but will be charged more.

CLASSES:

  • Each class will cost £2 for student members, £3 for associate members, £4 for student non-members and £5 for non-members. Payment is accepted at the class via debit/credit card or bank transfer.

 

 

*Associate members can be Heriot-Watt staff, HW alumni, students currently enrolled at another University, or anyone with a Lifetime Membership of the Student Union
