Hi, everyone! Apologies for the lack of events over the past few months; we've been very busy with our respective courses. Anyway, on to more exciting news!
We're delighted to announce that we'll be hosting three events over this March and April, with special thanks to our guest lecturers from EGIS and Heriot-Watt's Research Centre for Urban Studies:
- March 21 (12:00 to 13:00) - At the Student Union in Meeting Room 1, we'll be joined by Doctor Sasha Hasan as she discusses her research in digital housing services within the UK. It should be a fascinating event, so do come along!
- April 16 (12:00 to 13:00) - This will be our AGM, where members can run for positions in our student committee for the next academic year: President, Vice President, Treasurer, and Social Media Secretary. Come over to Meeting Room 1 at the Student Union if you're interested in filling these roles from this September onwards!
- April 25 (12:00 to 13:00) - We'll be joined by Professor Harry Smith as he showcases his work in tackling the impact of climate change in communities throughout Colombia and helping in community-based disaster risk management. Again, this will be happening at the Student Union at Meeting Room 1!
We hope to see you in our events this semester, and wish everyone the best of luck with their studies!
