After a busy return after the Winter break, it's always nice to reflect on these busy times! As VP Community, I take a pretty hands-on role in making Refresher Week events happen. Here are my highlights from the last couple of weeks of events:
Return of the Pub Quiz
So, my first Refreshers Week highlight was definitely the return of the weekly pub quiz which had record-breaking numbers! We had 25 teams competing for first place, and the atmosphere was just crazy!
Watt Welcome Fair
Next up, I'd say the Watt Welcome Fair was another highlight, getting to catch up and see all the societies again and seeing them engage the new students was a lot of fun.
Gala Karaoke... Garaoke?
And finally heading down to Galashiels for a karaoke night was a great round-off to week 1, seeing my Gala gang again and singing our hearts out was class. All in all, a great semester so far!
