Black History Month is all about celebrating diversity and honing-in on inclusivity. Therefore, we would like to invite you to join us for some Black History Month themed events right here at the Student Union.

Coffee, Culture and Conversation

Up first we have Coffee Culture and Conversation. Join us in Meeting Room 1 in the Student Union building on Tuesday the 29th of October from 11am-12:30pm for tea, coffee, pastries and Black History Month inspired conversation. You will get the chance to meet many other students who are celebrating Black History Month. This event is FREE and open to all students!

Black History Month Movie Night: Rye Lane

Next up, we have our Black History Month Movie Night. If you’re into romance films, or perhaps have a secret love for them, then this might be the event for you. We will be showing the movie Rye Lane (2023). Rye Lane is a romantic comedy film about two young people who fall in love despite recent bad breakups and their journey together towards restoring their faith in romance.

Join us on Wednesday the 30th of October here at the Student Union for a night of rom-com action from 5:30pm-7:30pm. This event is once again completely FREE of charge and open to all students, so, if this sounds like a night you would enjoy, then please book yourself a ticket using the link provided: Black History Month Movie night: Rye Lane

We would love to see as many of you coming along to either event as we celebrate Black History Month here at the Student Union
