Unfortunately, it is not possible to directly open a document in Word that has been shared with you on OneDrive. But follow these simple steps and it should be straight forward...

  1. In a web browser, go to www.onedrive.com
  2. Click Sign In and enter your email address
  3. If you are using a Union PC it should log you in automatically. If not enter your PC password to login.
  4. Select "Shared with Me" from the list on the left
  5. Click the name of the file you want to open. A preview will open in a new tab.
  6. Click 'Edit Document' and choose 'Edit in Word'
  7. If you get some security warnings select 'Yes' or 'OK' as appropriate.

The Performance Plan will open in Word and you can update it as normal. When you click save or close the document, your changes are automatically saved on OneDrive.
