The Italian Society @ HWU is dedicated to bringing together students with an interest in Italian culture, language, and lifestyle. Our goal is to create a vibrant community where members can engage in cultural exchange, build friendships, and explore all things Italian—from food and traditions to contemporary issues and history.

We offer a diverse range of events and activities, including social gatherings, language practice sessions, movie nights showcasing iconic Italian films and collaborative discussions with guest speakers who share their experiences related to Italy and its culture. Our society also seeks to promote networking by connecting members with students from other universities.

Membership is FREE and open to all students at Heriot-Watt University—you don’t have to speak Italian or be in a specific degree program to join! Whether you’re studying engineering, business, or the arts, there’s a place for you in our society.
